David M. Consunji Scholarship
Orani Suhay Foundation is committed to supporting the educational pursuits of deserving students from Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) through the David Mendoza Consunji (DMC) Scholarship Grant.
As a scholar, you are provided with a stipend every semester, assistance with on-the-job training (OJT) placement, and assistance with board exam reviews.
The DMC Scholarship Grant is valid for the duration of a beneficiary's studies, provided that they are able to maintain the required academic performance and conditions stipulated in their admission contract,
Eligibility Criteria
We encourage college-level indigent students from Bataan who have demonstrated remarkable academic achievement to apply for the scholarship. Applicants are assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit. The number and award level of each scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee each year.
To qualify for the DMC Scholarship Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A Filipino citizen
- Of good moral character
- Enrolled as a full-time student in the current semester
- With a cumulative grade point average not lower than 2.50 or its equivalent
- No history of dropped, incomplete and/or failed subjects
- Not currently receiving any major scholarships or financial aid, including scholarships from other corporate foundations or other academic-related scholarships
- With endorsement letters issued by BPSU university officers

Application Requirements
To apply for the DMC Scholarship, applicants must submit the following documentary requirements through the Orani Suhay Foundation website.
- Letter of Intent to apply for the DMC Scholarship Grant addressed to the Orani Suhay Foundation Board of Trustees
- Duly accomplished application form provided by Orani Suhay Foundation
- Transcript of Records/Curriculum Evaluation/Report of Grades from freshman year until present year
- Photocopy of PSA/NSO Birth Certificate
- Latest electricity bill
- Sketch of house location on map
- Picture of kitchen and front view of house
- Certificate of Indigency
Scholarship Benefits
As a DMC Scholarship recipient, you are eligible to receive the following benefits:
- Study stipend amounting PHP 20,000.00 per semester.
- One-time thesis grant amounting to PHP 10,000.00.
- Review grant amounting PHP 45,000.00.
- On-the-Job Training (OJT)/Job referral to affiliated companies of Orani Suhay Foundation, Inc.
- Counselling referral.
Scholar Obligations
As a DMC scholar, you are expected to fulfill the following criteria to maintain your scholarship:
- Maintain a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 2.5 or higher.
- Ensure no failed grades, incomplete (INC), or dropped (DRP) subjects/courses.
- Attend monthly VAC scholars' town hall meetings conducted via Zoom.
- Participate in the scholar development program, training, and group work via Zoom.
- Engage in volunteer efforts or events organized by the Orani Suhay Foundation, Inc., such as tree planting, medical missions, homecoming, etc.
- Take part in Annual Program Evaluation activities.
