Eligibility Criteria

This scholarship grant is specifically for dependents of employees of companies affiliated with OSFI and the Consunji Group. To qualify for this grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a college student
  • Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 2.5 or higher
  • No record history of failed grade, incomplete (INC) or dropped (DRP) subject/course
  • Must be a dependent of an employee under affiliated companies of Orani Suhay Foundation, Inc., such as:
    • Dacon Corporation
    • DMC - Construction Equipment Resources, Inc. (DMC-CERI)
    • DMC - Urban Property Developers, Inc. (DMC-UPDI)
    • Sirawai Palm and Rubber Corporation (SPRC)
  • The sponsor employee must have atleast 5 years tenure in any of the affiliated companies

Application Requirements

To apply for the VAC Scholarship, applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:

  1. Letter of Intent to apply for the DMC Scholarship Grant addressed to the Orani Suhay Foundation Board of Trustees
  2. Duly accomplished application form provided by Orani Suhay Foundation
  3. Transcript of Records/Curriculum Evaluation/Report of Grades from freshman year until present year
  4. Photocopy of PSA/NSO Birth Certificate
  5. Latest electricity bill
  6. Sketch of house location on map
  7. Picture of kitchen and front view of house
  8. Certificate of Indigency

Scholarship Benefits

As a VAC Scholarship recipient, you are eligible to receive the following benefits:

  1. Study stipend amounting PHP 20,000.00 per semester.
  2. One-time thesis grant amounting to PHP 10,000.00.
  3. Review grant amounting PHP 45,000.00.
  4. On-the-Job Training (OJT)/Job referral to affiliated companies of Orani Suhay Foundation, Inc.
  5. Counselling referral.

Scholar Obligations

As a VAC scholar, you are expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 2.5 or higher.
  2. Ensure no failed grades, incomplete (INC), or dropped (DRP) subjects/courses.
  3. Attend monthly VAC scholars' town hall meetings conducted via Zoom.
  4. Participate in the scholar development program, training, and group work via Zoom.
  5. Engage in volunteer efforts or events organized by the Orani Suhay Foundation, Inc., such as tree planting, medical missions, homecoming, etc.
  6. Take part in Annual Program Evaluation activities.
